About the Artist

Jill attended art classes at the South Australian School of Arts, Australia, in the 1960s, but it was not until the 1970s that she developed a serious interest in painting.

In the mid-1970s, she had the privilege of personal tuition from well-known South Australian artist, Tom Gleghorn. This tuition helped her develop both impressionist and abstract styles,using acrylics on various surfaces.

Jill's interest in painting follows a family tradition. Her grandfather, Chas J. Pavia, was an artist and former Senior Master of the South Australian School of Arts.
