Artist Statement:
The Mt Patawarata series are from Artimore Ruins a camp site of Hans Heysen where Mt Patawarta looms in the distance. This about the most northern part of the Heysen Trail and so the second valley southern hills marks the southern point of the trail. My interest is always in the bird life and the teal and magpie studies are an indication of the variety of birdlife that is supported along the trail.
